How we started...
In September 2021, I took the brave or, perhaps, foolish move to sell my VW campervan to finance the launch of True Worth. We needed six months to get up and running, website, access to job board advertising a CRM and ATS system.
After 25-plus years of experience in tech recruitment, I had a real desire to build something new and unique. I felt there was a gap in the market for a more personalised, friendly and human approach to recruitment, a business that is less robotic, more organic and gives something back.
Our difference is how we work with and treat our clients, candidates and suppliers; I take a hands-on approach with all of our clients, going above and beyond to match tech and data professionals to their dream jobs.
With my eldest son, Jamie, at my side, we're delivering a first-class hiring experience for our candidates and clients whilst building tech communities and a podcast, doing it our way.
We're not a huge business, but we have a great team behind us, some excellent software partners and tech suppliers, with tools that help us punch way above our weight.
We're proud to be Manchester-based but have clients all over the UK, Nordics, and US.

True Worth Tech Talks
In December 2022 we launched our first podcast channel, True Worth Tech Talks.
Why? Well, we want to build a community and bring people together, to discuss the challenges they've faced whilst delivering Data and Digital or Tech Transformation projects.
We thought that both our clients and candidates would be interested to hear about these 'war stories', insights, opinions and expertise.
In each episode, we talk to a senior-level tech or data expert and we discuss the challenges that organisations face when delivering Tech and Data Transformation projects.
We highlight different platforms, products, tech and methods and cover Data, Tech, Digital Transformation and Project Management and Delivery.

We've formed a special bond with Forever Manchester in our ongoing journey of giving back. This remarkable charity, rooted in the heart of Manchester, champions the often-unseen heroes working within local community groups across Greater Manchester. Our team doesn't just offer financial support; we actively volunteer, immersing ourselves in their inspiring work. Plus, we're proud contributors to their monthly Tombola draw, adding excitement to our commitment.
Our community spirit extends to supporting innovative local businesses with a cause. Since 2022, we've been avid supporters of Stand Out Socks (pictured above). This Warrington-based enterprise, the brainchild of Ross and Christian Laing, isn't just about high-quality socks; it's a mission-driven venture to raise awareness for Down Syndrome. Their impressive appearance on Dragons Den, securing investment from luminaries like Peter Jones and Steven Bartlett, is a testament to their impact and our belief in their vision.
We've sent out a pair to every candidate we have placed in a role for the last two years, and we're committed to doing that forever!
